We have 42 days before our flight to France and there is still a lot of things I need to do for our holiday before we go. First and foremost is checking that the shops will be open on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. These are very religious holidays in France and we had problems the last time we started a barge trip on Easter Sunday. Our flight is shortly before midnight on Good Friday, giving me the entire day to pack. We land midday in Paris and our plans for the afternoon include a trip to the Marais. Sunday morning we catch the train to Migennes and hopefully they will allow us onto the barge early so that we can start unpacking before we leave. We have a 7 day trip to Tannay and from there Dave and I are heading to Normandy. I hope you will join us in our travels by reading our blog.

I am passionate about using regional, seasonable and sustainable produce when I cook. I live in the picturesque fishing village of Gordons Bay with my husband and dogs. Dave and I visit new places overseas on a regular basis to experience the food and culture of the area. View all posts by Tandy | Lavender and Lime
